This app has several features I wish my favorite recipe app, AllMyRecipes, would have. First, this is the only recipe app I have found so far (after buying 8 of them) that actually uses an ingredient list. It isnt autofill, but it is a wheel to which one can add ones own ingredients. This app allows creation of categories and types, so one can give a recipe two different tags like appetizer and Mexican. One can also search specifically for ingredients. There is also an easy-to-find manual. What I dont like about this program is how many screens one has to go through to create and/or view a recipe. Also, there is no scaling; there isnt even a field for how many servings a recipe makes. If somebody would combine the ease of use of AllMyRecipes with the editbale category, unit, and ingredient wheels of Recipes, that would be the #1 iPhone recipe app. Overall, Id put this third of the 8 recipe apps I have tested.

I wanted recipes.... This is to write your own recipes

I have been waiting for someone to create an easy to use app to store my recipes, I currently keep them all on my computer but I have a small kitchen and really cant afford to give up the counter space. Thank you!

It took me almost 20 minutes to put in a recipe due to the fact that I had to add most of the ingredients myself. Also if your ingrdients has 2 section such as, 1. batter 2. frosting, it isnt able to do that. You have to lump all your ingredients together. It would have been quicker to type it into notepad. Also for the price, it should include way more of its own recipes. Just because you have the option of adding your own recipes, doesnt mean I wouldnt have enjoyed some great recipes already included.

It does exactly what it says it will do. Stores your recipes. That is all I need it to do. It is so convenient to have my recipes right at my fingertips at any time. Emailing recipes to someone else is a breeze.

I did a recipe search using the ingredients search with red bell peppers and expected hundreds of results. I received 5, all Mexican dishes. Not even good Spanish dishes. This app blows the big one for all the hype.

It does what it says itll do, but still needs some work. The screen will not flip, so if you have an ingredient with a long name you can not see the entire name.

I like to cook and I was looking for an app in which I could add my own recipes. This app allows you to do exactly that. It comes with minimal recipes (a plus or con depending on the person) Pros - the app allows you to add your own recipes - its relatively easy to work, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to properly enter my first recipe and now I can add them with relative ease - You can upload a picture of your dish - You can add any categories or ingredients - it saves paper and keeps my recipes relatively organized Cons - it has a few bugs in the programming, I entered a particularly long recipe and it froze and the screen returned to my phones base page, Ive noticed a few slight issues like that but theyre not so bad that Ive stopped using the app (but it is why I didnt give the app 4 stars) - I like to keep my ingredients in the order that I need to use them, unfortunately you cant reorder ingredients once entered for a specific recipe which I think would be possible since theyre all separate entities. - i would like a separate note section so I can make additional notes about adjustments I made on different occasions without changing the directions for the recipe Other Comments - as other people have pointed out this app doesnt come with a lot of recipes. The app is more akin to a virtual collection of blank recipe cards. If you are looking for a cookbook, this is not the app for you - the few recipes provided are Italian and Mexican-American - The ingredient list and categories are minimal. For me this was a plus, I deleted most if what was already entered and added my own. However if you dont enjoy sorting through your own recipes and categorizing then you might find this app too labor intensive. Overall I like this app and I appreciate I can keep my recipes organized in my phone.

Your only able to select from their short list of ingredients, so if you want to make a crab dish, youre out of luck. There is no crab option. You can enter only the simplest of recipes. A rip off.

Im not looking for recipies but I want to write my owns. This app works great for this pourpouse. This app change my live. Many thanks for this great work.

Im installing this app on my fourth device! It is a great place to enter your recipes and carry them with you! I use it as a digital recipe card collection, perfect for entering secret family recipes. I travel a lot and this is a great way to bring recipes with me. This is NOT a pre-filled cookbook but rather a place for you to gather your favorite dishes. Adding new ingredients is easy and writing recipes gets more efficient as your ingredient list grows. If the developer is looking for suggestions, Id like the ability (or instructions on how to) share data between devices that have the same app installed.
